The Son Tra peninsula and Da Nang beaches management board have begun to run tours so tourists can spot the endangered langur, as well as go fishing and diving around its coral reefs this summer.

Da Nang City People’s Committee has also agreed to build two experimental floating platforms to encourage fishing tours in the Bai Nom area of the Son Tra peninsula.

In the meantime, the management board will build a temporary wharf in Da Den for tourist boats to moor at.

There are plans to turn the Son Tra peninsula into one of the country’s top 10 tourist destinations. As part of the plan, the peninsula will create a new national park to promote eco-tourism and protect the landscape and environment both on land and underwater.-VNA
