New water treatment plant goes on line in Dong Thap
The Mekong delta province of Dong Thap,
on October 7, put into operation a surface water treatment plant with a
total cost of over 19 billion VND (over 1 million USD) funded by the
Water Fund Holland.

The Dong Binh Surface Water Treatment plant is built on an area of 2.4 hectares and designed to have a capacity of 5,000 cubic metres a day.
The plant is equipped with Perfector-R technology and it is expected to supply clean water to over 30,000 local residents in Cao Lanh city, Dong Thap province.
Perfector-R is based on a modular design, consisting of intake valves on floating pontoons, a process unit, a facility building, reservoirs, and a distribution pumping station.
The Water Fund Holland is expected to provide financial support to raise the plant’s capacity to 10,000 cu. m. a day next year./.
