has announced nine new records regarding the country’s seas and
islands, to mark Vietnam’s Sea and Islands Week from June 5-8.

has announced nine new records regarding the country’s seas and
islands, to mark Vietnam’s Sea and Islands Week from June 5-8.
According to the Vietnam Book of Records, the records include Tra Co,
as the country’s longest beach at 17km; Ha Long Bay, the bay with the
largest number of islands, 1,169 in all; Tam Giang – Cau Hai, the
largest lagoon, with surface area of 21,600 ha and Cat Ba, the
archipelago with the largest number of islands.
Truong
Sa archipelago, which is the archipelago furthest away from the
mainland; Phu Quoc, the biggest island; Nam Yet, Vietnam’s biggest
marine reserve and Ly Son, the island with the largest population have
also been recorded.-VNA
