Oil and gas stocks lead to slight market gains
Oil and gas stocks led a rise in both bourses on June 9. Positive investor confidence strengthened local stocks, Sai Gon-Hanoi Securities Corp (SHS) wrote in its daily report.
Oil stocks lift market yesterday (Source: VNA)Ending the day, the HCM Stock Exchange (HoSE) recorded 128 advancers and 84 decliners, the VN-index gained 3.39 points or 0.54 percent to reach 631.26 points while the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) with 127 advancers and 74 decliners, also rose 0.83 points or 0.99 percent to close at 84.64 points.
Total trading volume of the two exchanges reached more than 182 million shares, worth over 2.8 trillion VND (125 million USD).
Strong foreign trading continued with net buying volume of 130 billion VND on HoSE and 7 billion VND on HNX.-VNA
