The Malaysia-based Parkson department store operator launched an additional outlet in Ho Chi Minh City, raising the total number of its centres in Vietnam to nine.

The Parkson Cantavil Premier commercial centre, with investment totalling 8 million USD, covers nearly 18,000 square metres at the Cantavil Complex Building in District 2.

The opening demonstrates the strong development of Parkson in Vietnam and is its sixth store in the city.
General Director of Parkson Vietnam Tham Tuck Choy said the centre will meet local people’s demand for shopping and entertainment in District 2 and in the east of the city.

Choy also declared Parkson is continuing to work with property partners to launch 2 – 3 commercial centres a year in Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Can Tho and Dong Nai.

In addition to its six stores in Ho Chi Minh City, Parkson has one in Hai Phong and two in Hanoi.-VNA
