General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Nguyen Phu Trong on December 30 held a working session with the Steering Board of the Central Theory Council to hear reports on the results of the implementation of its 2013 tasks and orientations for next year.

During the session in Hanoi , General Secretary Trong acknowledged that in the past year the council has gained achievements in fulfilling their tasks and reforming working methods.

He expressed his hope that in preparations for the 12th National Party Congress, the council next year will well conduct its core task of reviewing 30 years of renovation.

The Party leader asked the council to positively contributing to reviewing 20 years of implementing the Politburo’s resolution on theoretical work and 15 years of implementing the Party Central Committee’s resolution on building a progressive culture imbued with national identity.

He also urged the council to raise the quality and effectiveness of international seminars in order to exchange experience in theoretical issues with other countries.-VNA
