The Vietnamese Party, State and people will try their utmost to maintain and develop their traditional friendship and cooperation with China , said Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh in Hanoi on June 12.

While receiving a visiting delegation from the Communist Party of China (CPC) led by Li Yuanchao, Head of the Organisation Department of the CPC Central Committee, General Secretary Manh said that the visit reflects the attention Chinese leaders are paying to fostering ties between the two Parties and two States.

This is a vivid manifestation of the Vietnamese-Chinese strategic comprehensive cooperation partnership, he said.

The Vietnamese Party leader praised the effective bilateral cooperation shown between Vietnam and China at all levels, helping to bring the two countries’ strategic partnership to a new height.

He also praised the cooperation and mutual assistance in personnel training and party building work between Vietnamese and Chinese agencies.

For his part, Li said he was pleased to visit Vietnam , considering it a step forward in realising the strategic comprehensive cooperation partnership reached by the two countries’ leaders.

While appreciating the development of the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties and two States, he also confirmed that the Party, State and people of China attach great importance to furthering ties with Vietnam .

Earlier the same day, the Chinese guests held talks with a Vietnamese delegation headed by Ho Duc Viet, Head of the Organising Commission of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Central Committee.

During the visit, the two commissions signed a cooperative agreement on personnel training for the 2009-2015 period./.
