Hanoi (VNA) – A delegation led by National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan visited disadvantaged families and revolutionary contributors in the northern province of Bac Giang’s Tri Yen commune on February 3.

Ngan extended her New Year wishes to the locals, stressing that the Party and Government always pay heed to the well-being of all people, particularly those with difficulties.

On the occasion, 160 gifts worth a total of 130,000 million VND (5,850 USD) were handed over to needy households and children.

The delegation also came to the provincial centre for social welfare with 50 million VND (2,250 USD) and 35 gifts to give to the centre.

The same day, Public Security Minister Tran Dai Quang attended a meeting in northern Ninh Binh province. He congratulated the province on achievements in political system building and socio-economic development last year.

He wished Ninh Binh’s party committee, security force, and residents a New Year of health and success.

A total of 4,000 gifts were presented to local needy.-VNA
