The Ministry of Finance (MoF) on June 22 decided to hike import tariffs on petrol products from the current 7 percent to 10 percent.

A new circular issued by MoF on June 22 also stipulated that import taxes on diesel fuel for cars will increase from 6 percent to 8 percent and other fuel will rise to 10 percent.

This is the fourth time the ministry has revised the petrol import tax since the beginning of this year. Earlier on June 8, import taxes levied on various kinds of gasoline were raised by 3 percent.-VNA
