Nguyen Quoc Dung, a Hanoian painter and photographer has introduced his photobook called “Fading Season”. It is also his first art publication, marking the photographer’s 20 years of work in art inspired by Vietnamese women.

The photobook consists of 130 photos divided into three categories of colour, monochrome and retouched photos. The photos mostly capture young Vietnamese women in the traditional ao dai or yếm (Vietnamese camisole).

The pictures were taken in various settings, including northern villages with ancient architectures, wells, bridges, lotus lakes and paddy fields, among others.

Since his graduation from University of Industrial Fine Arts, Nguyen Quoc Dung has spent 20 years working in art. He has hosted 10 private exhibitions both in Vietnam and overseas.-VNA
