The Prime Minister has ordered the organisation of an all-out campaign to fight drug crimes during the action month to prevent and fight drug in June.

In Official Letter No.692/TTg-KGVX issued on May 21, the PM outlines main activities for the campaign, with emphasis laid on communication drives to enhance public awareness of the dangers posed by drugs, especially synthetic drugs and drug criminals.

He requests that the mass media increase the coverage of anti-drug activities, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front encourage its member organisations to participate in the anti-drug campaign.

Anti-drug forces and relevant agencies are told to work closely together for the campaign to achieve the best result.

Ministries, government agencies, and the NCADP will have to work out specific anti-drug plans for the campaign. Results of the campaign should be reported to the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Public Security before July 15, 2013.-VNA
