Hanoi (VNA) – Politburo member Pham Minh Chinh has been named head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission for the 2015-2020 tenure. 

The Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission Head Tran Quoc Vuong announced the decision at a ceremony on February 15 in Hanoi. 

Pham Minh Chinh held the posts of Deputy Minister of Public Security and Secretary of the Quang Ninh provincial Party Committee. He was also Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Organisation Commission and a member of the Party Central Committee in the 11th and 12th tenures. 

In his speech at the event, Chinh called on staff of the commission to continue promoting initiatives and breakthrough thinking, creating strategic visions, making comprehensive action plans, and heightening the sense of responsibility. 

He underlined the need to reform working manners in the direction of democracy while fighting individualistic, self-serving, bureaucratic ideologies, and overcoming shortcomings to meet all goals.

The same day, Dinh The Huynh , a permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, announced the Politburo’s decision to make Secretary of the Party Central Committee Nguyen Van Nen the new Chief of the Party Central Committee’s Office.-VNA
