An “Internet festival” event took place at 39 public sites, including libraries and post offices, in central Quang Binh province on July 9.

It featured a speed-typing contest, information updates and guidance on using computers and cyberspace, such as how to set up an email account and search for knowledge on the Internet.

On the opening day, thousands of local youth attended the activity, part of a project on improving computer usage and public internet access ability in Vietnam funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.-VNA
