The central province of Quang Binh has once again topped the Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI) for 2014 released recently by the Centre for Community Support Development Studies (CECODES).

Quang Binh province finished first with top rankings in five of the six dimensions including transparency, accountability, controlling corruption in the public sector, public administrative procedures and public service delivery. They received high praise for provincial people’s participation at the local level, the sixth dimension.

Ha Giang province settled at the bottom of the list with the lowest points in the overall dimensions.

The 2014 PAPI report was conducted by collecting opinions from over 13,500 residents nationwide.
