The central province of Quang Ngai on April 28 held a ceremony to receive trees and stones as gifts from the Naval Force and people in Truong Sa archipelago.

The event helps to strengthen solidarity between the naval arm and the Quang Ngai authorities.

At the ceremony, Navy High Command handed over 21 pieces of coral stone and 11 tropical almond trees – which symbolise 21 islands with 33 garrisons all over the Truong Sa archipelago – to the Quang Ngai province’s Party committee, authorities and people.

The gifts represented the vitality of Hoang Sa archipelago , an outpost of the country. They are evidence to assert the nation’s sovereignty over its seas and islands.

They also manifested the respect and profound gratitude of the officials and soldiers of the Vietnamese People’s Navy in general, and the army and people of the island district of Truong Sa in particular for the Quang Ngai province’s Party committee, authorities and people.

The presence of the invaluable souvenirs of Truong Sa will contribute to educating Vietnamese people and their descendants on protecting the nation’s territorial integrity, reminding them to look towards and act in the interests of Truong Sa, a sacred territorial part of the nation./.
