was set at 22,444 VND on August 15, up 3 VND from the previous day.
With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,117 VND and the floor rate 21,771 VND per USD.
The opening hour rates at major commercial banks remained rather stable.
Vietcombank trimmed both rates by 5 VND, listing the buying rate at 22,690 VND and selling rate at 22,760 VND.
BIDV and Techcombank kept their rates unchanged from August 14.
BIDV is buying the greenback at 22,695 VND and selling at 22,765 VND, while Techcombank set its buying rate at 22,680 VND and selling rate 22,775 VND per USD.-VNA
