Two stars from the Republic of Korea (RoK), Song Seung-hun and Kim Tae-hee, will come to Vietnam to advertise their newly released TV series entitled My Princess and also raise funds for needy children in the country.

They will arrive in Vietnam tomorrow and meet fans to introduce Korean history and culture, their acting experience, a behind-the-scenes look at My Princess and answer questions of the local media.

My Princess will be aired in Vietnam on SCTV17 this month. The romantic comedy, which premiered in the RoK in May, is a love story between an ordinary college student named Lee Seol (Kim Tae-hee) who one day discovers she's a princess and Park Hae-young (Song Seung-hun) who is put in charge of educating her on proper etiquette.

The Korean stars will also participate in a fund raising ceremony held by the National Fund for Vietnamese Children, where they will auction some costumes and props used in My Princess and donate the profits to charity.

Vietnamese celebrities such as pop singer My Tam and model-actress Ngo Thanh Van will also participate in the ceremony.

Born in 1980, Kim is famous in the RoK for her well-educated background and natural beauty. She graduated from Seoul National University with a major in Fashion Design.

Starting her career as a model and later actress in television commercials, she rose to fame after her role as Han Yoo-ri in the drama series Stairway to Heaven.

Throughout her career, Kim has won many awards including the Excellence Award for Actresses, granted by the Korean Broadcasting System, for her role as Choi Seung-hee in Iris in 2009.

Song was born in 1976 and started his career as a model in 1995, after which he began acting in sitcoms and TV dramas in 1996.

In 2009, he was given an award in the Talent Division at the 17th Korean Culture Entertainment Awards.

The two stars' trip to Vietnam and the relating events are sponsored by Coway, a trademark of the RoK household goods. /.
