A training course to hone nearly 200 Vietnamese employees’ industrial design skills began in Nha Trang city, central Khanh Hoa province on June 25.

During the three-day course, co-hosted by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VTPA) under the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Korean Institute of Design Promotion, leading Korean experts lectured on expertise and creativity required in graphic, packaging and brand design to suit the different tastes of clients.

VTPA Deputy Head Ta Hoang Linh stressed the importance of design, which according to him, helps bring success to firms and fuel exports.

Trainees, who mostly hail from the Central Highlands and central region, were also introduced to the Republic of Korea ’s design policy and industry, green architectural design and design for local brands.

Since 2010, the project has trained nearly 1,000 enterprises nationwide, contributing to renewing attitudes in Vietnam ’s industrial design sector.-VNA
