Quang Ninh (VNA) – Romanian Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos met with authorities in the northern province of Quang Ninh on July 13 as part of his official visit to Vietnam.

Expressing his delight to be in the home of the world natural heritage site Ha Long Bay, PM Ciolos underscored the importance of his visit in boosting friendship and partnership between Romania and Vietnam in general and Quang Ninh in particular.

Agreeing with his guest, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Long said his province welcomes Romanian businesses to study and invest in the local market, which holds strength in industry, tourism and trade.

Quang Ninh looks for opportunities to promote its popular destinations to Romanian tourists and cooperate with Romania in human resources training, Long stated.

He asked the Romanian Prime Minister to introduce a Romanian locality that shares similar features and strengths with Quang Ninh, so that the two sides have a chance to exchange experience and form a partnership.

On the occasion, PM Ciolos and his entourage toured local interesting places, including the Quang Ninh museum and Ha Long Bay.-VNA
