Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - A number of royal compositions by HM the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej are being played in special concerts to honour the highly-revered monarch.

HM Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun has granted royal approval for a series of concerts to be staged at Dusit Palace, in homage to the late monarch and to allow the public to learn more about the many royal initiatives introduced to help improve the quality of life of the Thai people.

It's believed the performance of the royal compositions will remind the audience of the late King’s ingenious brilliance and musical gifts, in creating music that has brought Thai people happiness for many years.

The concert is scheduled every Saturday, from 7 pm to 9.30 pm, with the Royal Thai Army Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Thai Navy Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Thai Air Force Symphony Orchestra taking turns to play the many familiar songs composed by His Majesty.-VNA
