Leading Russian businesses are visiting Vietnam to seek ways to expand cooperation with local partners.

This was said by Chashinsky Andrey Alexandrovich, an official from the Committee for Science and High Technology of the Russian State Duma, at a press conference held by the Russian Centre of Science and Culture (RCSC) in Hanoi on October 28 to introduce the event.

During the October 27-November 6 visit, the Russian businesses will continue carrying out a long-term project highlighting Vietnam and Russia as new economies, he said, adding that they are willing to work with Vietnamese partners in developing and applying the latest Russian technology in the Southeast Asian market.

The Vietnam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership has helped promote wide-ranging cooperation between the two nations, especially in economics, trade and investment, he noted.

Representatives from Russia ’s hi-tech companies introduced sectors of their strengths such as electrical engineering, information technology, drilling, and new technological products for public health, among others.

The guests are scheduled to work with the Vietnamese National Assembly’s Committee of Science, Technology and Environment, introduce Russian companies at the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Centre, and attend a Vietnam-Russia business conference.-VNA
