Havana (VNA) - The Government and people of Saint Kitts and Nevis wish to promote relations with Vietnam in many fields, especially agriculture.

Saint Kitts and Nevis Governor-General Samuel Weymouth Tapley Seaton made the statement during his recent reception for Vietnamese Ambassador Duong Minh, who presented his letter of credentials.

The Governor-General hailed the socio-economic achievements Vietnam made during its reform process.

For his part, Ambassador Minh affirmed that Vietnam treasures and wants to develop friendship and win-win cooperation with Saint Kitts and Nevis.

The diplomat briefed the host on the country’s prominent achievements in recent times and key sectors of its strengths, including agriculture, telecommunications, electronics, consumer products, and construction materials.

He suggested authorities of Saint Kitts and Nevis facilitate Vietnamese businesses’ trade promotion and investment in the Caribbean island.

The ambassador promised to do his utmost to augment bilateral relations, bringing benefits to both countries’ people.

On the occasion, Ambassador Duong Minh paid courtesy visits to Speaker of the S aint Kitts and Nevis National Assembly Franklyn Brand, officials from Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Agriculture, and from the S aint Kitts and Nevis Chamber of Industry and Commerce.-VNA
