The second turbine at Song Tranh 2 hydroelectric power plant in the central province of Quang Nam was connected to the national power grid on January 27, reported the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN).

The plant, located in Tan Doc and Tra Doc communes, Bac Tra My district, is the second hydroelectric power plant to use water from the Song Tranh 2 reservoir on the Vu Gia-Thu Bon river network. It has two turbines with a total designed output of 190MW which will provide 679.6 million kWh annually.

The first turbine of the 5.19 billion VND plant has so far generated more than 30 million kWh./.
