A seminar highlighting President Ho Chi Minh’s great contributions to oppressed nations’ struggle for liberation across the world and the topical significance of his thoughts took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina on June 26.

The seminar was co-organised by the Vietnamese Embassy in Argentina, the Argentina-Vietnam Cultural Institute (ICAV) and the Latin American Programme of Distance Education in Social Sciences (PLED).
Speaking at the seminar, PLED General Coordinator Pablo Balcedo highlighted the age-old value and significance of President Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts on the struggles for social justice and integration in Latin American nations.

For his part, Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Van Dao said Vietnam completed its cause of national unity and made important achievements in the progress for national renovation in line with Uncle Ho’s testament.
As part of activities to mark the 40 th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Argentina, t he event provided participants with an opportunity to learn about Uncle Ho’s life and political career though documentary films.

Two books introduced at the seminar, which are published in Spanish, allow Latin American readers to discover more about Vietnam’s revolutionary struggle and national reconstruction as well as the country’s efforts to protect its sea and island sovereignty.-VNA
