The Vietnamese kempo team on Nov. 20 pocketed three golds at the ongoing 26 th Southeast Asian Games in Indonesia, exceeding its target set before leaving for the tournament.

The triumph was thanks to Do Hong Ngoc and Le Thi Thu Hang in the women’s 45 kg and 54 kg categories, respectively and Nguyen Ba Tan in the men’s U-50 kg category.

In the last day of judo competition, wrestler Dang Hao bagged one gold in the 100kg category after beating his Thai rival in the final match.

Meanwhile in the women and men’s chess, Pham Le Thao Nguyen and Le Quang Liem each took home one gold medal.

Four female divers, Dang Thi Huyen Trang, Vo Thi Thanh Vy, Tran Thi Quynh and Vo Thi Dai Trang brought home one gold in the 4x100m diving event.

By 9:PM the same day, with 87 golds, 81 silvers and 84 bronzes, the Vietnamese team maintained the third position in the medal tally after Thailand and the first-runner up Indonesia./.
