Singapore’s SEA Games Organising Committee (SINGSOC) on May 5 announced a menus featuring about 120 dishes for athletes attending the region’s biggest games in June.

SINGSOC has worked together with the Singapore Sports Institute and a team of industry experts for two years to develop a standardised menu with the aim to serve the athletes with nutritional foods.

The food was designed to make sure the athletes have adequate carbohydrate and protein with minimal unnecessary fats.

The menus will also have a distinct Singaporean flavour incorporated while simultaneously catering to the cultural, religious and individual needs of the athletes competing in the games.

The standardised menu will be rolled out to all 20 hotels hosting the athletes, said SINGSOC.

The 28th Southeast Asian Games will be held from June 5-16, attracting more than 7,000 athletes and officials in 36 sports from 11 countries in the region.-VNA
