The Singaporean Army Chief has affirmed that his country will maintain the strong bilateral relationship and security cooperation with Thailand during his meeting with Thai Supreme Commander Gen Thanasak Patimapragorn in Bangkok.

Maj Gen Perry Lim Cheng Yeow, Chief of the Singapore Army, expressed deep understanding of the situation in Thailand, saying the country has been peaceful to date.

He thanked the Thai military for its continuous support for Singapore and assured the Thai side of future efforts to further strengthen the two countries’ friendship.

The Singaporean Army Chief held that the bilateral cooperation will be maintained in all aspects, including military exercises and training, exchanges of information, humanitarian assistance, disaster mitigation as well as preparation for the advent of the ASEAN Community next year.-VNA
