Singapore (VNA) - Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore was named the world's best young university for a third straight year.

In UK-based Quacquarelli Symonds' (QS) latest rankings of the world's top 50 universities established less than 50 years ago, NTU retained top spot, followed by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology from the Republic of Korea.

QS noted that six of the top ten universities focused on technology. 
The 2016-2017 rankings also indicated that Asia and Australia have the best young universities in the world.-VNA
