The southern coastal province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau on August 7 announced its programmes in response to the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Year celebrating the 40 th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties.

The activities will take place from August 17-25 to tighten the friendship, cooperation and mutual understanding between the two peoples while promoting Japanese businesses and localities’ investment, trade and tourism in Ba Ria-Vung Tau.

They also aim to promote the image of the land and people and Ba Ria-Vung Tau to Japanese and international friends.

There will be a quiz on the two countries’ diplomatic ties, a cultural exchange between Vietnamese and Japanese families, a photo exhibition on the land and people of Vietnam and Japan, and seminars on ways to attract Japanese investment and tourists to the province.-VNA
