Hanoi (VNA) – Shares of the Hanoi Consultant and Construction Investment Joint Stock Company, coded CCH, were officially traded on the UPCoM market at the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) on August 30, becoming the 1,000th firm trading on the northern bourse.

There are 379 companies listed and another 621 trading on the UPCoM, HNX said, adding that the rapid development of the UPCoM has helped augment the number of businesses joining the stock market over the last couple of years.

As of August 30, 21.2 billion shares with total market capitalisation of nearly 464.5 trillion VND (20.43 billion USD) had been registered for trading on the UPCoM.

Liquidity on this market has also improved considerably with average trading value of almost 186.3 billion VND (8.19 million USD) each session during the first eight months of 2017.

HNX said the UPCoM is increasingly attractive to both domestic and foreign investors.

Meanwhile, the 379 listed companies on the HNX has combined market capitalisation of almost 190 trillion VND (8.36 billion USD), and about 500-600 billion VND (22-26.4 million USD) worth of shares is traded each session on average.-VNA
