The code for administrative procedures for Vietnamese representative diplomatic corps abroad was announced on July 6 by the Vietnam Foreign Ministry.

This is part of Project 30 which aims to simplify administrative procedures relating to state management in the period from 2007-2010.

The code covers 81 procedures, including 49 to be applied at Vietnamese representative diplomatic corps abroad and 32 for domestic offices.

All the procedures are associated with new forms and legal documents, focusing on a range of issues such as passports, birth registry, nationality, adoption, marriage, etc.

For overseas Vietnamese, the code will make living abroad, as well as their ability to contribute to their homeland, easier, said Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem, who posted the finalised code to his ministry’s website./.
