Hanoi (VNA) – Syria will bring their best players to face host Vietnam in their friendly match on May 31.

All Syrians playing abroad have been summoned home to play on the national team which will arrive in Hanoi on May 29.

Of the 21 players, the most in demand is striker Sanharib Malki Sabah, who is competing for Kasimpasa FC in Turkey.

Ahmad Al Douni (Al-Riffa in Bahrain) and Abdul Fattah Al Agha (Baghdad FC in Iraq) are also in demand.

Other faces on the team are midfielders Abdulrazak Al Husein and Mahmoud Al Mawas and defenders Ahmad Alsaleh and Alaa Al Shbbli.

After the Hanoi event, Syria will take part in the King’s Cup in Thailand, in preparation for 2018 World Cup qualification.

Vietnam will fly to Myanmar for a two-day friendly match next month.-VNA
