Bangkok (VNA) – The Royal Thai Army is holding its largest-ever military exercise of different forces from May 3-20.

The exercise, observed by army Commander-in-Chief Teerachai Nakwanich, involves more than 3,000 soldiers from the Second Cavalry Division of the Royal Guards, the Artillery Division, and the Special Warfare Centre based in Lopburi province.

About 150 tanks, gunship helicopters and F16 jet fighters are taking part in the drill.

Live ammunition will be used in the exercise in Lopburi province.

The exercise is staged to prepare different forces to work together to defend the country.-VNA
