Nearly 200 Thai businesses are exhibiting their ware at a made-in-Thailand products exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City, which kicked off on July 9.

On display at over 260 booths are high-quality commodities ranging from food, beverages and household utensils to healthcare products, cosmetics, decorations, furniture, stationeries, plastic products and electrical equipment.

Along with offering a good chance for both sides’ producers to set up partnerships, the 14th Thai Product Exhibition also helps introduce Thailand ’s culture and culinary art to Vietnamese people.

The exhibition will last until July 12.

Over the last 13 years, this kind of event has proven successful with the gradual increase in the number of contracts signed between the two countries’ firms.

The popularity of Thai products in Vietnam shows that Thai investors and enterprises are very interested in promoting their operation in the Vietnamese market.

Vietnam is now one of Thailand’s largest trade partners in the world and its fourth biggest in Southeast Asia.

In 2013, two-way trade between the two countries enjoyed a year-on-year increase of 10 percent to 9.4 billion USD. The figure is expected to increase to 20 billion USD by 2015.-VNA
