Bangkok (VNA/NNT) – The Thai government is keen to recruit people with high potential to serve the country in the hope of achieving sustainable development.
Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha, on May 7 disclosed that
in February the cabinet had ordered the Office of the Civil Service Commission
(OCSC) and the Office of the Public Sector Development Commission (OPDC) to
revise employment terms for better incentives, compensation, and other benefits
in order to attract competent workers.
According to the prime minister, persons with knowledge and
skills will be the engine driving the reform transition, thus the government is
looking for candidates.
Realizing the importance of human resource development, Gen
Prayut said he had instructed related agencies to develop a curriculum for
comprehensive training to be given to government officers, with the aim of
attaining improved work efficiency.
The government in March launched a
leadership skills training course for high-ranking officials, to help them to
keep abreast of what’s going on in this digital-changing society.-VNA/NNT
