Thai Nguyen: Death sentence for drug trafficker
The people’s court of the northern province of Thai Nguyen sentenced Nguyen Van Khoa to death over illegal drug transportation on September 15.

Khoa, born in 1973 and residing in Luong commune, Phu Luong district, was arrested on August 22, 2014 carrying 100 heroin cakes weighing nearly 33.4 kilograms and 179 synthetic tablets weighing 17.14 grams.
Khoa confessed that Ngo Van Thanh, residing in Thinh Dan commune of Thai Nguyen city, hired him to transport the drugs. Provincial police suspended their investigation on Thanh after he committed suicide on August 27.-VNA
