More than 50 paintings on Vietnam created and posted on Facebook by Thai painter Direk Kingnok have received many comments from both Vietnamese and international friends.

Liveliness and truthfulness are what viewers say they can feel from Direk’s paintings on Vietnam . Australian tourist Carmen Mountford wrote that “Direk’s paintings brought about tranquil feelings of the peaceful country of Vietnam ”. Others said that Vietnam is rendered more beautiful through the fine paintings of this Thai artist.

Graduating with a major in art from Khon Kaen University , the 35-year-old artist has participated in more than 20 exhibitions in Thailand , Japan , Norway , Laos and Vietnam .

In May 2011, Direk introduced his paintings to Hanoi locals with the theme, “ Hanoi in spring” on the occasion of the 35 th anniversary of Vietnam-Thailand diplomatic ties.
