Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha denied rumours of a coup by high-ranking military officers on June 16.

The Prime Minister told reporters that the rumors were “just a fairy tale” and to create chaos, adding that foreigners were still confident in Thailand more than a year after he took power.

Countries are satisfied with the situation in Thailand, said the Prime Minister, adding Singaporean businessmen want to invest in Thailand.

Last week, PM Prayuth visited the neighbour.

Police said they were tracking down those behind the rumours.
