According to local police, the bombing happened on September 17 near a grocery in Rangae district, the southern province of Narathiwat, which borders Malaysia.

An army official and two civilians were killed in the attack as a series of other bombs also went off in the area.

Investigations are being carried out to find out how the bomb was taken and who was behind the attack.
