Bangkok (VNA) – The draft of the new constitution of Thailand is scheduled to be announced on January 29, 2016, according to the country’s Constitution Drafting Committee (CDC) Chairman Meechai Ruchapan on December 10.

The details of the draft constitution will be completed during the Committee’s meeting in Cha Am, Phetchaburi province before the announcement, Meechai said.

The draft constitution, once approved in a referendum to be held four months after its announcement, will become officially effective.

The new government of Thailand is scheduled to be formed in mid-2017.-VNA
