Earlier, the Asian Athletics Association invited six Vietnamese athletes to compete but the VAF decided to choose only three athletes, Vu Thi Huong (women's 100m), Duong Thi Viet Anh (women's high jump) and Thao for the event.
However, Huong and Anh haven't been recovered from injuries so they will not travel to the event.
The tournament's first meet takes place in Bangkok, Thailand, on May 4, followed by Chonburi on May 8 and finishing in Colombo, Sri Lanka on May 12.-VNA
