More than100 representatives from travel agencies and companies of Thua Thien-Hue and northern provinces of Thailand are gathering at an exchange in the imperial capital city of Hue aiming to boost tourism cooperation between the localities.
In the first eight months of this year, Thua Thien – Hue welcomed over 77,000 tourists from Thailand , up 26 percent over the same period last year.
The number of Thai holiday-makers visiting Hue rose from 17,000 in 2005 to more than 113,000 last year.
By the end of August, 2011, the province received 1.1 million visitors, earning 682 billion VND./.
