Nearly 300 Vietnamese students and alumni from Japanese universities attended a seminar in Tokyo on August 31, organised by the Vietnamese Business Association in Japan to help them fulfill their career ambitions for the future.

Speakers included leaders of successful businesses in Japan, including the Director of Metran, Tran Ngoc Phu; the Director of Mottiti, Tong Thi Kim Giao; and the Director of FPT Software Japan, Tran Xuan Khoi.

Participants shared their experience in making full use of career opportunities and developments in the Japanese job market, as well as their plans for the future.

The Vietnamese Embassy’s Education Counsellor, Do Van Trung, said the number of Vietnamese students and apprentices in Japan has been on the rise in recent years, reflecting the stronger ties between the two countries, and providing them with opportunities to learn from a world technology power.

However, he noted that not all students are well-prepared for studying in Japan, and many students have a difficult time adapting. He asked the Vietnamese Business Association and other Vietnamese organisations in the country to help the students settle into their new lives.

Dinh Ngoc Hai, Chairman of the Association, said he hoped the seminar would give young Vietnamese living in Japan the chance to meet and talk to successful and experienced entrepreneurs who can provide guidance for their career choices and professional aspirations.-VNA
