Top honours for Vietnamese teen’s ‘handy’ robots
A Vietnamese student, has won a special prize at the
2009 National Creativeness Competition for Children and Youth for his
two hand-made robots that can pick up and move objects.
Phan Van Mam, a 17-year-old student
from the northern province of Nam Dinh, has won a special prize at the
2009 National Creativeness Competition for Children and Youth for his
two hand-made robots that can pick up and move objects.
The machines have also bagged a gold medal from the World Intellectual Property Organisation for their creativeness, sturdiness and flexibility.
The inventor, Pham Van Mam, said he spent two weeks refining the design of his robots, and completed their construction within one month./.
