Many tourists engaged in a diverse range of activities at the 2013 Hue Traditional Craft Festival, which took place at Tu Tuong and 3-2 Parks from April 27 to May 1.

At Theatre No. 26 Le Loi, visitors were impressed by an art exhibition of lacquer paintings, which depict emotions of nature, human beings and love. The use of colour, tone and natural materials have made Vietnamese lacquer techniques highly valued across the world.
During the five-day festival, over 1,000 children from across the city joined a drawing festival themed “ Hue in the kids’ eyes”, which allows the paint-lovers to show their talents and dreams.

Meanwhile, on the campus of Hue ’s cultural museum, a kite exhibition was held to introduce the traditional kite making techniques of Hue .

Another crowd-drawing event was the Crested Bird Festival which was held for the first time with the participation of 50 groups nationwide.-VNA
