Hanoi (VNA) – Russian missile cruiser Varyag and large sea-tanker Pechenga docked in capital city Manila of the Philippines on April 20, starting a four-day friendly visit to the Southeast Asian country.

Captain Lued Lincuna, director of the Philippine Naval Public Affairs Office said that the two ships, part of the Pacific Fleet of the Russia’s Navy, will attend several activities with their Philippine counterparts.

This is the second visits of Russian naval ships to the Philippines, as anti-submarine destroyer Admiral Tributs and replenishment oiler Boris Butoma visited the country last January.
