More than 11,000 people with disabilities in the central city of Da Nang have received assistance from US-funded projects over the past three years.

The information was released by non-governmental organisations at a workshop held in Da Nang city on Dec. 27.

Since 2008, the projects have provided free medical checks-up for over 8,500 disabled people and surgical operations for 2,000 others.
