Vietnam attaches importance to cooperation with Japanese localities, including Aichi prefecture, said Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at a reception for visiting Aichi Governor Hideaki Ohmura in Hanoi on September 10.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy PM Phuc expressed his belief that this visit will contribute to strengthening mutual understanding and friendship between Aichi prefecture and Vietnam , as well as developing the two countries’ strategic partnership.

Vietnam wants to further intensify cooperation with Japan, especially in human resources, infrastructure and agriculture, Phuc stressed, adding that the Government will create every possible condition for Japanese businesses to invest in Vietnam, and is willing to build a more attractive investment environment in Vietnam.

Hideaki Ohmura said that his working visit aims to strengthen exchanges in aviation. He said he hopes that the number of flights linking Aichi with Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City will be increased in the coming time.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties, the Aichi Governor said that his prefecture will coordinate with the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan to hold the “Hello Vietnam” programme scheduled for September 20-23.

The programme will include a series of activities to promote investment and popularise Vietnam’s image, contributing to intensifying friendship exchanges between the two countries’ people.-VNA
