This year’s event was organised in Alley Pond Park near New York City under the chairmanship of Brunei Permanent Mission to the United Nations (UN).
In his opening speech, Brunei Permanent Representative to the UN Dato Abdul Ghafar Ismail said the event will help strengthen solidarity and mutual understanding among ASEAN missions to the UN.
Vietnam ’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Pham Vinh Quang joined other Vietnamese officers based in New York to introduce the country’s culture, folk games and traditional dishes to international friends.
ASEAN groups Brunei , Cambodia , Indonesia , Laos , Malaysia , Myanmar , the Philippines , Singapore , Thailand and Vietnam .
