High-ranking military officers of Vietnam and Belarus have shared experiences in building armed forces and discussed measures to boost cooperation in training and ideological work.

The outcomes were reached at the talks between Lieut. Gen. Ngo Xuan Lich, Director of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People’s Army, and Major Gen. Aleksandr Nikolaevich Gura, Chief of the Main Directorate of Ideological Work of the Belarusian Defence Ministry, in Hanoi on March 22.

Lich said the current visit of the Belarusian delegation showed the continued development of the traditional friendship between the armies and people of the two nations.

Gura said he believed that the trip would reap fine results and contribute to strengthening cooperative relations between the two armies.

Later in the day, Gura and his entourage paid a courtesy visit to Minister of National Defence Gen. Phung Quang Thanh, who spoke highly of the results of the earlier talks between the two sides./.
